January 1, 2019

Sitting on the couch after the first full day of 2019. All of the Christmas decorations are down and packed away in the attic. The long to do list is organized and I’m ready to get back to it first thing tomorrow morning.

The Holidays were busy with family and friends all while trying to wrap work before the end of the year. Thankfully I was able to slow down, enjoy some down, and take a few holiday naps. Feeling rested and a little refreshed, I’m excited to get back to work..and for those out of office messages to be turned off! I’ve got things to do 🙂 2018 was a really great year for me and this little business. It brought a lot of change, some beautiful events and really lovely clients. I look forward to taking those amazing experiences with me in to 2019.

What’s next?

First up, I’m really looking forward to working 1-on-1 with an incredible designer in the Wedding Industry, Jacin Fitzgerald. I really cannot wait to learn from her and to put lessons in to practice. Also coming soon, you’ll see a brand new website!! Whhaatttt! I KNOW. Big deal and I’m thrilled. I’ve been working with a college friend, the very talented Rachelle, on this project and it has been such a pleasure. I can’t wait to see the finished product and share it with you all!

Other than those two big items coming up in the next two months, it’s full-on planning for 2019 clients. The calendar is starting to fill up which makes me excited and hopeful 🙂 On the regular, you can expect more content on the blog, more behind the scenes (the little daily details), getting some videos out there, and expanding the business to reach new clients and vendors.

On a daily basis, I’m focusing my attention on the habits and practices that will aid in making goals a reality. Up early, capitalizing on productive hours, connecting with local vendors, working diligently for clients on their events, continuing to improve systems that help the business run smoothly. The list is long but the gist is this: head down and keep doing what you’re doing. It’s hard at the start of a year to think you need to reinvent the wheel – whether it’s work, health, or home; but sometimes it’s ok to be patient and keep working the way you were before the calendar turned to the New Year.

So here’s to you and to this exciting year ahead. Thank you for being here and for your continued support.
