Kelly Strong Events: Full-Service Planning & Design

When choosing to work with a wedding planner, there are not only so many planners to choose from but there are a variety of service levels as well. There is full-service, partial planning, month-of coordination…and everything in between (or at least it seems like it!) I specialize in full-service planning & design for destination weddings throughout the country and abroad. So what would the process look like for a full-service client? Here’s a high-level summary of what our work together would look like…

Collect Information

Getting to know my clients is the foundation that influences each subsequent decision. Collecting as much information as possible, is a crucial component of the process. This includes not only details about what you are dreaming up for your big day but also getting to know you and your soon-to-be spouse. What do you like to do in your free time, how did you meet, what’s your favorite restaurant, what are your favorite things about each other? It all helps me to create a day that will be completely custom and unique.

Build Your Partner Team

Once I have a feel for you, the day you’re looking to have, and the location you’re in; I work to create the ultimate partner team. These are the vendors that will bring the design to life. I have a long list of incredibly talented partners that are not only amazing at what they do but their personalities will mesh with yours, and your day will be elevated because of it. And let’s back up a moment – if you don’t have a venue yet, I would start by assisting you with site options. After determining which ones you love, we visit each in person to choose your favorite. I love when clients come to me without a venue because then we can really create your day from scratch.

Design Process

After the partners are selected, the design process begins. With the venue and surroundings taken in to consideration, a color palette and design inspiration are pulled together. Then actual elements are detailed, florals & stationery designed, mock-ups done, etc. This is where we focus on the details that are going to create that luxury experience. The design plan continues to be revised until it’s perfected.

Execution:

You have your partners, you have your design – now it’s time to bring it all together! The final few months are spent finalizing orders, detailing placement, making final decisions, and hammering out the logistical details.

Hopefully that gives you a better sense of the full-service process and how we would work together to create a completely unique, custom day. The goal is for the day to be a reflection of you as a couple and each decision is made with that in mind. Interested in learning more? I would love to speak with you about your dream day!
