Kelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner PartyThe Holidays are here! I hope you are all enjoying the season so far. Christmas is less than two weeks away which means lots to get done in a short amount of time. I like to the spend the weeks leading up to Christmas focused on friends and work holiday celebrations. Splitting time with two families (6 hours apart!) consumes all of our time right around Christmas. I don’t like for our attention to be even more divided so  I try to keep other plans to a minimum for the week of Christmas. My solution is to start the holiday celebrations early in December.

Hosting at home

This year I did a simple set for a get together with friends. My focus was using only what I already had – the beautiful items that we use everyday. I used our Staccato Place Settings, Viv Wine Glasses, and Halsted Flatware – all from Crate & Barrel. For a “centerpiece” I filled this Trifle Bowl with Shatterproof Champagne Ornaments from Target and used the IKEA Glass Candlesticks with Gold Tapered Candles. I tied glitter “bulbs” around my cotton napkins with a beautiful navy velvet ribbon I picked up in the sale bin at M&J Trimming. I found the artificial boxwood used for the mini-wreaths at the bargain bin during my last trip to Target in the US (Target is definitely what I miss most in Canada!) And for takeaway treats, I filled the festive bags from the Creative Bag with Italian cookies. Focusing on the little details can make a regular dinner party feel special and festive.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family, friends, good food, rest, and relaxation.

P.S. I ended up keeping the mini wreaths on the back of the chairs because I think they’re just so cute!Kelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner Party Kelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner Party Kelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner PartyKelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner PartyKelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner Party Kelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner Party Kelly Strong Events: Holiday Dinner Party
